If, like me, you're clueless like thrillers listen to those who know:
Sara T recommends:
P.T. Deutermann – not sure if it’s one n or two, but he writes some pretty neat stuff. I highly recommend one called Sweepers and one called Trainman. Daniel Silva also is good – start with The Kill Artist and get totally engrossed in the character, Gabriel Allon. Jack Higgins is a little bit funnier in his writing style. Joseph Wambaugh – writes about L.A. police Hollywood Station is good, I just got his newest Hollywood Crows. David Baldacci’s Camel Club books are also good. He wrote a stand alone called Last Man Standing that was really REALLY good, also.
Monica recommends:
Personally, I’m a big fan of Karin Slaughter. The first one in her Grant County series is Blindsighted.

Sandy also recommended Daniel Silva. I've already got a copy of "The Kill Artist" checked out.
